The safety and well-being of THA residents is a high priority and responsibility that THA takes seriously.  In 2018, THA established a contract with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) to create a Community Enhancement Unit (CEU) which consists of seven TCSO deputies. Adhering to a community policing model, the CEU works closely with THA’s security coordinator and assistant security coordinator to take proactive measure toward keeping our residents and guests safe while engaging with tenants at community events held at our sites. THA security follows up with complaints of criminal activity and reports complaints to the CEU. In addition, THA security completes approximately 1,000 background checks per month of resident applicants.

Along with additional responsibilities, THA security maintains a Drug & Fraud Hotline designed for those who wish to be a “good neighbor” by reporting drug activity or crime at Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 properties and THA communities. Callers who call the Drug & Fraud Hotline may remain anonymous. Calls are recorded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Calls can be made at anytime to report a crime. Calls can also be sent to the CEU Tip Line number or sent via email to the CEU email address.
