TulsaKids Magazine highlighted the Kid Cash program in its April issue. Kid Cash is the brainchild of Jennifer Durick, Sandy Park social services coordinator, who saw a need to help her resident kiddos have a better understanding of money and finances. Kids earn Kid Cash by being kind, respectful and helpful, and can earn extra by taking on jobs in the Sandy Park community center. Kid Cash can be redeemed for fun prizes or snacks. Over the holiday season, kids used their cash to buy presents for their parents and guardians.
